Dearest loving God,

In prayer you came to me this morning reviving new truths in me. In a broad sweep you revealed a chain of events that gave me a greater sense of what has happened to me in the last four years. With such clarity you connected dots like never before. I sat up and listened.

You are a God of detail because you know life is not lived in overriding themes but rather in the bits and pieces of life. You know we make sense of life through our daily experiences. This morning you opened new doors of understanding.

Throw open
the doors
and windows
of my heart,
O God;
unlock everything
closed in
my soul.
Let your spirit
sweep through me
revealing every truth,
I pray.
Make me
an open vessel
of discernment,
prepared to hear
your wisdom
and take in
your hopes
for my life.
Build up faith
within me
that I will
lead others
to you,
I pray.
