Dear God,
How do we effectively help one another when we are in trouble? How do we meaningfully offer a hand? How can we lovingly usher one another into the arms of a loving heavenly parent who always has our best interest in mind?
On the current scene with images scattered across the television screen, we are curiously watching the downfall of a celebrated actor. Every time we hear more about his bizarre behavior we share our own commentary. We are literally participating in his demise.
Teach us
how to walk
with one another,
O God,
in our times
of trial
and torment.
Form us
into loving people
who like you
want the best
for each other.
Forgive us
when we
make fun,
mock, laugh
and pass judgement
on one another.
Lead us
to the truth.
Fill us
with compassion.
Make us
a merciful people,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
