Dear God,

I have heard it said that you open a window when a door is closed in our lives. Today it wasn't a window but rather another door. I saw joy spread across his face. This particular door hasn't been open in years but today it swung wide open and it made him so happy.

Circumstances have changed. A shift has taken place. Communication has opened up. Sharing information has given a larger perspective. The problem is still there, worse in some ways, but I think it has more room and possibility for positive change.

We never know when or how you will enter into our personal lives. Yet, what you have taught me is that waiting for you to act, having an open spirit, living expectantly, and trusting you and ourselves will lead to open windows, doors, and cracks that can enable us to move forward. When that occurs and we begin to take the first steps, amazing things can happen.

We experienced a marvelous happening today and your handprints are all over the door.

We are filled
with gratitude,
O God,
for you
have moved
in our favor
once again.
We are positive
that we
could not budge
those doors before;
however, you
lovingly unlocked
the door
and let
us in.
We are
so grateful,
Wondrous God.
You have
given us
yet more reasons
to praise you.
