Dear God,

When we truly and intentionally open our hearts to your spirit, miracles happen.  Insights that come during an open-spirit time can change our lives forever.

As retreatants during this retreat time, we open our hearts especially during our time apart from the busyness of life.  Each morning we pray at the table asking you to open us wide to your Holy Spirit. We pray for the food on the table but we all know we are praying for heaven's manna.  We each know we are hungry for food that satisfies a spiritually hungry soul.

Today we shared more about our life events and how faith influences the challenges we each face. We discovered more and more how you were always at the intersections of doubt and fear.  We recognized your help and loving guidance.  We acknowledged your power at work and your ability and desire to transform us in our hour of decision.  In and through our sharing we could see the ways you miraculously moved in and through us.  We celebrated your merciful kindness and the gift faith is on the inner journey of life.

Gracious and Loving God,
thank you
for insights
that give us pause
to give praise
and thanksgiving.
Thank you
for gratitude
that wells up
within us
as we recognize
your blessings
once again.
Thank you
for spiritual awareness
that helps us
see your spirit
always working.
