Dear God,

You always have a good word for us!  You speak to us sometimes in a quiet voice.  At other times you speak with a loud voice.  But always you speak to us.

Worship gives us opportunity to anticipate that word.  It may come in a prayer, a litany, a song, a scripture reading, or through a word from a stranger.  It may be a word of encouragement or challenge.  It may be a word of love, friendship, or compassion.  Always, there is a word for us.  We do not walk away from worship with a void.

Today your word for me was faith.  Faith.  Faith.  Faith to trust in you.  Faith to walk life's journey.  Faith to love and be loved.  Faith to share and serve.  Faith to be courageous.  Faith to live in peace.  Faith to meet you.  Faith to help others.  Faith was my word today.  Faith.

compel us to move,
and strengthen us
for daily living
and service.
