Dear God,

You are good, O Lord; you are good to smile upon us, to give us others who shine their light, and to brighten our days when days seem sometimes dark or dreary.  You bless us over and over again.

As we vacation on the farm of a Mennonite couple in Pennsylvania, we see and hear faith all around us.  At every meal we see signs of holy life, people living in faith, sharing their sacred stories, and offering happy fellowship.  Before we leave for a day outing, our hostess shows us pictures of two miracle babies, great stories of prayer, hope, and healing.

We are surrounded
by you,
Loving Father.
We see
the signs
of faith everywhere.
As we listen
we hear
your story,
your song,
and your mercy.
We are touched,
inspired, and blessed.
Receive our thanksgiving,
O God,
receive our devotion
and love.
