Dear God,

Trusting you with easy things is easy.  Trusting you with really hard things is a challenge because we so want our own way.  We want things to lean in our direction.

Trusting you with our election is difficult because decency, integrity and truth are at stake.  The president of the United States is a liar, manipulator, abuser, mean and untrustworthy.  How can that possibly bring about your kingdom?  Or have we actually tilted so far away from all we value?

Help us,

O Lord,

to trust you

in all things.

Guide us

ever more deeply

to your side.

Show us

the way.
