Dear God,

All Advent long you invited me into the present moment, not into the past or the future but the NOW moment.  In dwelling in the NOW I found I worried less, I breathed more deeply, I found joy in whatever I was doing and I discovered more peace, hope and gratitude.  You told me the past was gone, the future was not yet but the NOW was the place to be, to revel in holy presence, to feel your divine love and to savor the gifts of the moment.

In this trying time, you guide us toward activities that calm the soul, soothe the nerves and cleanse the thoughts that can sometimes fall prey to anxiety, fear and conflict.  You invite us to "more" when often all we can see is "less."  You bless us when we can't see even the possibility for blessing.

Thank you,
Loving God,
for the gifts
of the season.
Thank you
for teaching me
the lessons
of faith
in difficult times.
I am grateful.

Love, Andrea
