Dear God,

Every day work can teach us lessons of faith.  Whatever the task, if we listen closely we can hear your voice.

Today I worked to finish jobs I started a month ago.  As I cleaned, swept and polished, I reflected upon the spiritual life.  Uncluttering, cleaning and polishing the soul is the work of faith.  It is not always easy but a very necessary part of keeping the spiritual journey surviving and thriving.  When regularly done, our prayers, petitions and praises keep everything in good working order.  When not, we can get bogged down, lost and fail to live in a way that uplifts us and keeps us close to you.  

As I concluded my tasks and looked around, I smiled giving thanks to you for strength, help and guidance but also for our daily conversations, your divine presence and the joy of being together.

Loving God,

you bless

in so

many ways.

You speak

to us

every days

in all

the big things

and little ones too.

You never

leave us

or forget us.
