Dear God, 

A new day is unfolding, filled with possibility.  The sun rose and it will descend once again.  Both are signs from you, Living God.

This morning I rose with hope in my heart and a belief that you were already present.  I did not have to beg you to come.  

Holy God,

today please

help me

give you delight

in my thoughts,

practices and actions.

May I

paint this day beautiful

for you,

O God.

May I

sprinkle joy

and hope

and light

and peace

to all those

around me.

May I

close out

this day

with gratitude.
