Dear God,

It seems every time I do a home renovation project, you invite me to reflect upon personal renovation.  In the quiet when I work without noise or distraction, there is space and time to talk and listen, listen and talk.  Of course, I am the one designed to listen while you talk.

There are so many areas needing transformation inside me.  My thoughts collect around ongoing disappointments and hurts so much so they become negative thoughts.  Yet, what I know to be true is this:  Nothing needs remain negative.  I have the power within to change them.  And since you are that power in my life, nothing is impossible to us.

O God,

as I 

transform my

century-old bathroom

with all

its cracks,

divots and imperfections,

help me

change myself.

Help me

turn to you

for guidance,

assistance and power.

Make me more

like you intended.
