Dear God,

How still must we be in order to hear your voice, Mighty and Compassionate God?  Must our minds be completely shut off in order to hear you?  How do we shut out the noisy chatter all around us?

You are loving and merciful.  There is no one like you.  We long to hear your voice and strain to hear you over everyone and everything else.  We want, need to hear you.  

Gentle God,

hear our prayers

for hope,

compassion and peace.

Lead us

to your well

of living water.

Quiet our hearts

to receive

your loving message.
