Dear God,
Throughout the year I rarely make and bake cookies. But when November and December roll around, the reality of Advent is revealed and I feel tugged to make haste into my warm kitchen. Yesterday I made raspberry filled almond snowball cookies. They didn't turn out quite right but they are still beautiful and yummy.
Such moments are holy moments when we feel the joy of the divine season. Making cookies is one more gift of Advent when we feel the joy of your many gifts. Although my kitchen is a mess, I smile because I love thinking of you and this most amazing time of the year! When I make Christmas cookies I make them with you!
Loving God,
thank you
for the gift
of cookies,
for quiet time
in the kitchen
with you.
Thank you
for all
the gifts
of Advent.
Thank you
for all
the blessings unfolding.
Yours, Andrea
