Dearest God,

Christmas music playing. Scented candles aglow. Christmas tree lights burning. Cookies baking in the oven. Snow spitting. What a perfect scene! Standing in my home cooking, baking, preparing the way for my party. The aroma of God is everywhere.

I take delight in my home, preparing for others. I love making things beautiful, preparing delicious goodies for family and friends. I love being in the middle of creatively working with you.

The gift of giving, the making of foods from scratch, filling my home with good things is my gift to you. I love to take what you have given and make something wonderful with it. Then offering it to others is a very special bonus!

All day long I labor with you, stringing lights outside, humming Christmas tunes, stirring ingredients together, making a space lovely with Christmas novels, candles and holiday mugs. And in between I whisper prayers for family, friends and people with special needs. I sense your presence in a profound way.

This is my work, taking the things of earth and making them into sacred treasures. The ordinary becomes the extraordinary when I sense you are in them, when I welcome them and take them into my hands realizing that I have a part of you in my hands. My every step and movement becomes a movement of the Divine because I genuinely believe you are in it all.

My day's work has been rewarding, a continuing labor of love.

You are in
it all,
dearest Creator.
There is
no moment
when you are not.
There is
no place
where you are not.
You pervade
the cosmos
with your presence.
Those who desire
can find you
in the least likely places.
Joy can overflow.

I am overflowing, Andrea
