Dear God,
I heard the singing a block away and I was drawn in. A small United Methodist Church with a large group of happy people is the way I would describe Church on the Cape in Cape Porpoise, Maine. I was delighted to step inside.
I am well acquainted with your Holy Spirit and I can say for sure you are there! The music, the preaching, the fellowship, the sharing, the hospitality all say Christ is here, come on in. My husband and I brushed away tears at times because the mystical movement of your spirit touched our souls down deep. Our lives the past several years have found great solace in hymns and songs, scriptures and messages composed by artists who longed for the same things we yearned for. We were inspired by your spirit once again.
Three different couples and the pastor came up to us with huge smiles, embraced us and told us how happy they were to see us together once again. The pastor said she was triple blessed. I know for certain that each of these persons have prayed for us, not just one prayer but many. That took me back to the vision I had last October when the thousands of points of light collided together, prayers that had been spoken on our behalf, and had reflected back, scattering across the universe to touch the lives of others needing help, guidance, faith, hope and grace. I was touched by their expressions of love, another measure of your own love.
What joy
you bring
to waiting hearts,
longing for
an expression
of your
great love,
O Lord.
You come
again and again,
touching hearts
and souls
with agape love.
Once our hearts
are kissed
by your spirit,
something happens
and we
find ourselves
tuning in
to your song.
Love always, Andrea
