My dearest God,

I have been watching with great interest the coming together of nature, especially the birds. In my contemplative garden birds fly in and out. Together they make their nest, warm their eggs, and feed their young. The geese and ducks find a mate and keep that mate for life. How fun to watch them walk together, honk and guide their babies to water. For me it is love in action.

When we each do our destined part, the world sees love, lives it, appreciates and respects it. We admire it and want to be embraced by it. We want to be included in love's plan. It really is a very beautiful thing.

Just the opposite is true, when love is not present, people casually go about life without much regard for their neighbor. They (we) don't share with or care for others. They (we) feel no responsibility toward the women, men and children around us, no matter their plight.

As one disaster after another plagues our world, it seems to be another opportunity to make our love known. As we pray or send a gift or gather people together to help, we are exhibiting the love you tucked inside each of us at our conception. We are letting your love fly!

Work in us,
O God;
let your love
grow inside us
and spill over.
Teach us
the beauty
of agape love,
especially as
we share it
with our brothers
and sisters
around the world.
Let us
live love's
divine plan
to grow
more love,
to multiply
love's power
in creation,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
