Dear God,

Even after a long, busy day, I feel the cool breeze of your spirit as I sing on Thursday evenings at Church on the Cape. Singing in the choir refreshes my spirit, shifts my perspective, births hope and happiness, and lifts my spirit. A renewed soul can sing all the way home.

I am convinced that sacred music can convert the weary soul. I believe that music begins in heaven and wafts its way to the human soul. There, it takes a new form entering the heart doing its work of transformation.

I remember the old song we sang at church camp, "O, How I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus because he first loved me." Music reminds me of your love. When making its way into my heart, you acknowledge once again that your love is present and is made real even for me.

Holiest God,
your love
is ever present,
especially through music.
I only
have to hear
a few bars
and I
am in heaven.
Receive my
own love back,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
