Dear God,
On Easter morning when the skies are still dark and this morning the moon so bright, I like to open my door to the outside waiting to head the birds cry out the news of Easter. I want to hear the words again, "He is risen." I want to remember the resurrection, the shock, and the joy. I want to join the throngs of people throughout the ages who proclaimed the rising of Christ, the rising of faith. I want faith to leap inside me. I don't want the day to slide by like any other day; I want to proclaim Easter one more time.
I want my life to mean something. I want to carry Easter with me every day. I want to live faith, as though it were a verb, a living, breathing movement in the world. I want to carry you, your message, your love, and your acceptance with me. I want to live every moment in grace, a blessing and gift in return for your amazing gift of Easter love.
I want to live in love, dear Christ. I want to accept your agape love again today. I want to be intentional, knowing that your act so long ago is an action happening right now, right here. I want to make real your love in the world. What is the value of my life if I just take without giving?
Easter God,
welcome again
to my heart.
Thank you
for the
greatest gift
I have
ever received.
I hope
to remember
your Easter gift
not only today
but tomorrow
and the
next day.
Help me
to live love
that counts,
that blesses others
with your
Easter love.
I pray
in the
name of Jesus,
the beloved.
Love, Andrea
