Dear God,

I was awakened in the night by a sound.  Sleeping on a very small loft between the second and third floors, I looked into the room below where all was still.  And then I looked up through the large sky light to see a magnificent display, a stunning clear black sky with millions of teeny sparkling white lights.  It was so breathtaking that I leaned out the glass window/door onto the small deck just outside.  I was so taken that I decided it was the sound of heaven that awakened me  .As I lay back in bed and felt the quiet call of sleep, I prayed and gave thanks for the generous gift.

Wondrous God,
you are full
of surprises.
You call
to us
in so many ways.
You reveal
a blessing
and give us
opportunity to revel
in your
loving embrace.

thank you.
