Dear God,

Creating sacred spaces is one of my great joys.  Clearing out an old fence row and reclaiming its beauty touches my soul because it reminds me how you take us, clean us up, and transform us by faith.  Whatever beauty we achieve is accomplished because you motivated, inspired, and helped us do what we thought impossible or at least too hard to make happen.

I love crawling under the tree limbs that touch the ground.  I love digging out weeds, revealing tiny flowers and plants, and using my battery-powdered chain saw to cut down invasive trees that greedily take up ground and choke back other deciduous trees.  I love edging, creating soft lines that allow the sacred space to spring up.  But more than anything, I love working with you.

Holy God,
thank you
for spiritual outings
where you
and I
labor together.
Thank you
for sacred spaces
that draw us
to you.

Love always, Andrea
