Dear God,

No one can take your place!  No one is a substitute for your love, your power, and your mercy!  As we seek to find sustenance to carry us along life's journey, we may look long and hard in every direction but unless we come to you, we will never find everything we need to fulfill a meaningful life.

Sustenance...food for body and soul.  My, how we need living food and drink for the journey.  Not just any food and drink, we need spiritual food and living water that we can take in and allow it to revitalize us, renew us, and rev us up for the journey of a lifetime.  After all, isn't that what you have offered us, a life of faith, vision, hope, adventure, insight, discernment, wisdom, and joy?  Why not eat and drink from your pantry?
