Dear God,

You give us opportunity to be a living story of faith.  When we read biblical stories, we come to know Rebecca, Abraham, Isaiah, Peter, Mary and Martha, and Paul.  We see their predicament, their challenge, and their trust in you.  We read again and again and realize we are like them, a struggling people with a mighty faith.

When we arise and choose you first thing in the morning, we begin our day as a living testimony.  When we pray lifting up not only our loved ones but the whole world we are telling our story of faith.  When we serve someone in need, work to overcome temptation, or trust you to help us be courageous as we face down our fears, we are living the story of faith.

You tell us our faith stories are important.  You tell us to live our faith daily.  You invite us to be the story someone will read today or tomorrow or a long time from now.

May we live
your story,
Lord.
May we
live our stories
so others
may find hope
and trust
in you.
May we
show our love
for you
and our neighbor
through our
living stories
of faith.
