Dear God,

I waited for years but today it came.  The most beautiful orange and black Monarch butterfly fluttered around my garden and landed on the milkweed plant.  It lifted and fell upon the gentle breeze as it settled upon the flower petal.  I grabbed my phone and started taking pictures.  I smiled.

Every day you bless us with beautiful, unexpected surprises.  We miss many, I am sure but when we become aware, we see your hand.  We feel your breath upon our skin.  We sense your love, your beauty and your hope.  We know your presence.  Today was one of those days!

Blessed Lord,
thank you
for the gift
of your
living presence today.
Thank you
for the Monarch,
for the milkweed
and the joy
they both brought.
You are God;
there is none
like you.
