Dear God,
As I sat with my morning circle of friends (St. Theresa, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Isaiah, Moses and Aaron and St. John of the Cross, I was mindful of my breath. You spoke, "I breathe into you light and take out darkness. I breathe in life and take out death. I breathe in love and take out hatred. I breathe in grace and take out sin. I breathe in good and take out evil." So true, so true, I thought to myself.
Every day in every way you speak to us of faith, of wisdom and life. You want to win us over, to have us trust in you completely. You want to give us life and light and love. You offer change and transformation for all the parts of our life that are wretched, weak and painful. You remind us you are with us now and always.
Thank you,
Holy God,
for the gift
of today.
Thank you
for yesterday
and the promise
of tomorrow
with you.
We are blessed.
Love, Andrea
