Dear God,

How can it be that dead, brown grass can be green and luscious again?  How can barren trees boast life one more time?  How can flowers that were nowhere to be seen suddenly reappear?  It is you, O Lord, it is you who creates and recreates and makes new.

It is so with us, is it not, Great God?  We can become lifeless and nearly dead and yet, you can raise us up one more time.  We too need transformation, a rebirth in your spirit.  When we turn to sources that do not give living water or spiritual food, we wither.  We need you, O Lord; we need your power to revive us, to fill us with your life-giving food and drink.  We too want to live again!

Holy God,
source of
all power,
you are
the only God
who cares
for us.
We turn
to you
for help,
for renewal
and new life.
Only you
can give it.

Love, Andrea
