Dear God,

Great things happen in worship because you are present with us.  The lighting of the altar candles can bring us a sense of heavenly peace.  A simple song can speak to us of your great mercy that washes over us.  The reading of your word can challenge us in some area of our life where we are struggling.  It is not regular service by a divine happening on Sunday morning.

It is only because you care that you promised to be with us always, that you would be living water and bread for the world.  As we gather on Sunday mornings, you present yourself to us in divine and meaningful ways.

Today was no less.  Thank you.
