Dear God,

Their voices speak your sound.  They listen, they weep, they comfort.  This morning as my covenant group met by conference call, I told them my granddaughter had attempted to take her life.  Their quiet presence filled my heart with warmth, compassion and peace.  Through them I heard you.

This is as you planned it, isn't it Most High and Loving God?  This is how we find you, in each other.  It is where we find solace and hope.  This is one way we find you, know you, love you.  We need you at such times and circumstances.  Oh how we need you!

Love reveals itself in hard times.  And there is no greater love than yours.  You saved my granddaughter and you are saving us now.  How grateful our hearts are!

Compassionate and Kind God,
how could
we possibly
make it
without you?
How could
we withstand
the fear,
the pain
and the sorrow?
You are God;
there is
none like you.
Alleluia, alleluia.

Love with great gratitude, Andrea
