Dear God,

I want to do something.  My spirit screams to do something to help those suffering in our world.  What do I do?  Images on the television and computer screen tug at my inner core to do something to change life for those literally fighting for their lives.

In your word you tell us to love one another.  You teach us to care for the orphaned, the widow, the lost, the lonely and the broken.  But how do we do it, dear God, how do we do it especially those so far away?  How can we bring help and peace to someone?

Loving God,

Savior, Rescuer and Redeemer,

make a way

for us

to help others

in dire need.

Lead us

to those

who hurt

so much,

I pray.
