Dear God,
It is still hard to believe a couple of tiny, dark seeds can become a jar of cinnamon applesauce. After arriving home from the orchard, I began washing, paring, coring, preparing and cooking the Honey Crisp and Cortland apples. After softening I put them through the food mill, returned them to the cooking pot and added cinnamon. When hot I poured the tasty sauce into jars, sealed them and boiled them for 20 minutes in my water bather canner. Later I pulled out the pretty jars and let them cool. Before I put them away to store them in a cool place, I ate a bowl of the flavorful sauce.
Who could create seeds pregnant with possibilities? No one but you, Creator God. Although it is a bit of work, I love home canning and working with you.
Thank you,
Caring God,
for the majesty
of your creation.
Thank you
for seeds
and apples
and really
good flavors.
Creation is blessed
by you,
Almighty God.
Love, Andrea
