Dear God,

How long does it take to get to repentance?  We only like to go the distance to reach our destination as long as we don't have to do anything hard along the way.  However, we can't ever sidestep the true path that will ultimately lead us where we want and need to go.

While I imagine it would be almost impossible for politicians to step into repentance leading to wholeness and newness of life, I can't point to them unless I am willing to examine my own life.  Funny, how it works that way.  Repentance.

Holy God,

lead the way,

right into

the puddles

of repentance.

No destination

is complete

without it.

Reveal the truth

of others

at the

same time

you disclose

our own shortcomings.
