Dear God,

In all things pray, trust and hope.  Is there anything more important to do in the spiritual and emotional life?

I am constantly reminded of these when I try to rule my life and others.  When I want to change others to make myself more comfortable, I step outside my role because it is your guiding power that helps people change.  I cannot change anyone but me.  And when life becomes untenable because of situations beyond my control, I must step back and do what I know to do...pray, trust and hope.

Good and Everlasting God,

there is

no one

like you.

Forgive me

when I try

to act

like you.

Constantly draw

me back

to your side

so I

can remember

our differing roles.

Help me

and all others

to pray,

trust and hope.
