Dear God,

I love our devotional time first thing in the morning!  The quiet, the lights and the spirit of your living presence both delight and inspire me.  When I sit down in my chair, turn on the Christmas tree lights, light the candle of the nativity and breathe in the air of faith, I am already blessed.

As I listen to your voice while I read the writings of the psalmist, Richard Rohr, Henri Nouwen, Henry Van Dyke, St. Paul and Angela Merkel, I sense a deep, abiding faith that surrounds me.  The more I listen and the less I talk, the greater my sense of you. I want to cry out with the angels, "Holy, holy, holy are you.  Glory to you, Lord, glory to you!"
