Dear God,
In a high, holy moment or a low, fainting time, the psalmist declared, "...and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Even as these words were spoken in worship, I could not help but be caught up in this declaration of faith. Dwell, forever?
We don't wait until death to dwell in your house, do we? No, we can dwell there today. Your house is here and your invitation is clear. We can dwell today, here and now. Why wait until tomorrow or next year or at death when we can do it now?
Thank you,
Wondrous God,
for the opportunity
to dwell
with you.
Thank you
for your house
which is not
a place
but rather
a presence.
Thank you
for here
and now,
dwelling now.
Yours forever, Andrea
