Dear God,

Today a friend opened her door to me.  When I stepped inside, I knew I had found a refuge from the storm in my life.  She and her husband offered comfort, hope and love.

How like you they are, Holy Father.  Their kindness and compassion reminded me of the gifts of heaven.  I ate and drank spiritual food and living water.

You always

look out

for us,

Merciful God.

Bad things

may happen

but always

you reach out

to us.

You whisper

your love

and grace

reminding us

we are

never alone.
