Dear God,

We seem to be living in the time of "not yet."  Christmas is not yet.  Women carrying babies are living in the not yet.  College students are in the season of not yet.  Many of us who are praying for answers, help or miracles live daily in the not yet.

The not yet time is fertile time of trusting and waiting.  Being patient until the fulfillment of time is never easy but always a time to draw closer to you, O God.  Although we do not like this time, it is probably good for us because there is even more waiting for us.

Not yet is your answer to our question of when.  

Help us

trust you

more and more,

O God.

Teach us

to wait

in the

not yet.

Show us

the value

of waiting,

anticipating and trusting.
