Dear God,

I do believe I learn more in the darkness than I do in the light.  In the light I can see but in the dark, I am blind.  It is when I walk in the darkness that I cry out for you for an outstretched hand, a guiding voice and a safe journey.

Life is not always as it seems.  Sometimes I can only see from a certain angle so I am only able to see a partial picture.  I have to rely on trusted others to fill in my blanks.  And even if I see a messed-up picture, I have to remember that that picture is only temporary.  Tomorrow or this afternoon it can change.

All this is to say that reaching back to the hand reaching out daily will guide me along life's path especially during difficult times.  I never have to be afraid of what I see or fail to see because my hand is in your hand.  I take my every-day steps with you.

Thank you,
Loving God,
for your
gracious love.
Thank you
for not only
offering your hand
but also
for guiding
my way.
Whether in
the light
or in
the darkness,
I am grateful
to be
at your side.

Love, Andrea
