Dear God,
How do you repair a torn heart? How do you stop the bleeding of a heart ripped apart by life circumstances? How do you heal?
There is a child, a soon-to-be-teenager whose heart is injured by emotional pain. She can't seem to find her way to whole health. Although in therapy with lots of support and people who love her, she's still troubled. When I look into her young eyes, I want to will her to wellness. Because she is a family member, I want to take away her pain and sorrow and replace it with self love and joy. I want to turn her frown into a smile. I want to usher her to you for total healing.
I have experienced this kind of dramatic transformation. You have held my own heart in your hands. You put a beat where lifelessness resided. You warmed my heart and promised to hold it forever. You restored me and brought me to health. Now I want the same thing for this beloved child.
Great Physician,
healing comes
from you;
I know this
very well.
Your loving grace
can renew,
restore, reconcile,
and reconnect
every child.
Here she is,
please, Great God,
heal her,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
