Dear God,

What will it take to reshape us as a people who love and care for one another?  How do we rid our global society and ourselves of hatred and bitterness?  How do we step inside the other to better understand one another?

Can we not take the best of every religion and use it to bring love to all?  I am a Christian so I listen to the voice of Jesus who challenges us to love one another; yet, I hear the call from other world religions that call for mutual respect and love.  Why do we refuse to love?

Teach us
the way
of love,
dear God.
Cleanse our
minds of everything
that cause us
to hate.
Soften our hearts
toward one another.
Make us emissaries
of hope
and peace,
I pray.
