Dear God,

The tiny nun, not much taller than the altar she was working on, reminded me of the small ladies at a rundown church just outside Moscow.  I remember so well visiting there in 1988.  Our group met the two faithful church members as they ironed worn altar cloths.  Their sweetness, devotion, and love for their creator inspired us to see Jesus.

There are those whose light shine bright.  Encountering them on a day when they work in the church albeit a magnificent cathedral or poor community church, the brightness is the same.  They radiate your light so others living in darkness will find their way to you.

Thank you,
Holy God,
for shining
your light
through your
devoted servants.
Thank you
for the peace
and hope
they share.
Thank you
for their
loving faith,
rich devotion,
and servant hearts.

Love always, Andrea
