Dear God,
Thirteen years, thirteen long, hard, painful years; yet, today all I see is the healing that came, the relationship that was rebuilt, the hope that made it all possible, the faith that was the power, and love and mercy who wed to hold a mother's heart together until the mending process began.
When my daughter called asking for my help while she had surgery and recovered, I remembered back, then smiled, and said yes. What joy filled me up as I stayed in her home, helped with meals, played with the kids and three dogs, straightened up the house, taught a granddaughter how to sew, and went to sleep each night with gratitude on my lips and thanksgiving in my heart.
What I do know is anything is possible. Not every prayer is answered as we desire but one thing is for sure. You come to us, tarry with us as long as needed, comfort us in our long period of waiting, and provide for us as we allow you to adjust us and others around us. Truly, you are a miracle God who does miracle work by faith.
Holy Spirit God,
thank you
for your
divine comfort,
a real refuge
in times
of great storms.
Thank you
for your
transforming power
that can
reshape us
when we
need it.
Thank you
for your
sustaining love.
As always, Andrea
