Dear God,

"One day spent in your temple is better than a thousand anywhere else."  The psalmist knew the joy of the Lord when he penned these words.  Anyone who experiences joy in the house of the Lord knows exactly what he is saying. 

When I gather on Sunday morning with the people of Church on the Cape, my spirit soars, my mind finds peace, and my heart dwells with you.  When we sing we rise higher and higher.  When we pray your prayer, it feels as though we are praying with millions around the world..."Our father who art in heaven..."  By the time we hear your word and the pastor's message and we give and receive so many hugs, we are full to overflowing with you.

You honor us,
O Lord,
when you
bless us
in worship.
You give us opportunity
to worship,
to praise,
to love,
to share,
and to dwell;
thank you,
Father,
thank you.
