Dearest God,

On a day when we remember those killed in a terrorist attack on our soil, it is also a reminder of those who live in fear every day.  How can we remember our own and not remember every citizen of the world is family?

O Lord, how can we alter our thinking and consider all your children?  How can we surrender beliefs that exclude others?  How can we soften our hearts and reach out to the world?

Teach us
your way,
O God;
show us
the way
to make
one great family.
Help us regard
one another
as sacred gifts
of God.
Point us
to you, Lord,
so we
can move
toward others.
