Dear God,

Your good news is this:  The Easter spirit is present on Monday just as it was on Sunday.  Easter is not the only day of resurrection.  Any day where we are lifted up by your spirit is yet another Easter Sunday, another resurrection day.

If faith is real, it must be just as alive on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday as it was on Sunday.  The beautiful gift of faith is that we can carry it with us every day.  It is available and accessible and has the power to transform our life and our situation.  Faith opens doors and windows to the possible.  It helps us see a dimension of life that is lost to those who are blind to it.  Faith is a living organism breathing its life in us.

This is what my friend and I talked about last night under a lamppost on the parking lot of Puerta Vallarta Restaurant.  We shared how it is you have renewed us in faith and how enthused, excited, and passionate we felt today as much as Sunday.  We blessed your name tonight because you blessed us through the day.

for the power
of your
living spirit
that touches
and inspires.

so grateful
to you,
O God.
