Dear God,
Some days we simply have to fall backward into your arms! When we lose hope, when we are blinded by hatred, and when we are lost, we forfeit the ability to rise and walk. But when we fall into the savior's arms, we gain strength, resolve, and courage. Not only do we rise and walk, we step forward with a renewed sense of faith and its power to move forward in hope.
Today's horrific events are yet another example of the ways fear grips and paralyzes people. Fear with loss, pain, and suffering can rob us of everything that keeps us going in life. Fear can kill us. Some people are simply led by fear. They do horrible things because they are afraid, afraid of a philosophy, a freedom, and a hope. They want to destroy, to wound, and to rip and tear the hearts of many. For a moment they do and we mourn, we really mourn. We cry out to you to help, to heal, and to hold. We still cry.
Blessed Lord,
lay your hand
on your
broken people.
Bless those
who hurt, Lord;
bless those
who hurt.
Teach us
the way
of love,
charity,
and compassion,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
