Dear God,

Who cannot feel your grace when we step into your house of worship?  Who is not bowled over by your love?  Who fails to be touched, inspired by the prayers, scriptures, songs, meditations or messages?  It is your intent to connect with us every time we gather with you and your people in worship.

The moment I step into the sanctuary, your home, I feel the joy of your living presence.  I know your touch because there is none like yours.  The moment the organ begins to play and your worshipping community stands to sing, I know the awesome power of your love.  When we blend our voices together and pray the Lord's Prayer, I know our hearts beat in one rhythm.  It may only be for a moment or a minute but I know we connect with you and one another.  What gift, what blessing, what sacred mystery!

for the light
that shines.
Thank you
for calling
our name.
