Dear God,

Every day you bring beauty and goodness into our lives.  When we open our eyes of faith, we are able to see, enjoy, appreciate, and give thanks.  When our eyes are blind, we miss the magnificent gifts.

Just this morning as I sat down to write, I looked outside and saw a soft blue sky with striated pink clouds.  I stopped what I was doing and went to the front door, opened it, and smiled.  This time I did not miss a picture of creation's finest.

O Lord,
for the gifts
in our
daily lives.
Like little surprises,
we are awed
by your
loving grace.
