Dear God,

Who can we trust?  How can we trust?  Where will trust lead us?

O Lord, our world is filled with so much mistrust.  Our trust has been trampled on.  Our trust has been misused.  Our trust has led us down so many dead-end alleys.  Those with whom we have placed our trust have so often misled us so we ask our many questions.

You have never failed us, O God.  When we put our trust in you, we are reminded of your promise so long ago...I will be with you always.  We may not always be aware of just how your presence presents itself but we know you are with us.  When we trust in you, our faith grows, our strength returns, and our wills bend to yours because we know you will not disappoint us.

Teach us how
to be trustworthy.
Show us
the way
to true authenticity.
Cleanse us
from all untruth.
Clear the hallways
of our souls.
Make way
for the purity
of faith,
I pray.
