Dear God,

The lilies are blooming and blossoming, orange, yellow, and mauve.  Their little trumpets open up for the whole world to see.  It is as if they are saying, "God is coming.  Be aware.  God is coming."

Summertime messages continue to break forth from the flowers, trees and bushes.  They cry out their praise for the creator, you, Most High God.  They call us to attention, to make us aware of the awesomeness of your goodness.  They invite us to break forth in praise as well.

Loving God,

for the gift
of summer
and all
its messages.
Help us
to meet
each day
with hope,
peace and
inner joy
Keep thanksgiving
in our hearts
and praise
on our lips,
I pray.
