Dear God,

Where has all the good stuff gone?  At the day of our birth you filled each of us with mercy, compassion, love, grace and kindness.  You put yourself in us.  You made us in your image.  You made us to be your own filled with your goodness.

So where has it all gone?  By all accounts we have rid ourselves of the good you placed inside us and filled ourselves with cheap substitutes.  Because we have so little of you within us, we behave poorly.  We strike out at one another.  We blame and judge others by our own standards instead of yours.  So many times we do not love because we have let love go.

We need you, Lord, we need you.

Blessed God,
remake us,
restore us
and renew us,\
dear Father.
We want
to be
like you.
Forgive us,
I pray.
