Dear God,

All glory, praise and honor are due you, Eternal God.  There is no better way to begin the day than to give thanks and praise.

When even before I open my eyes in the morning, you stir in my heart.  You inspire me to reflect, to think about faith and how it shapes my life and the life of creation.  You cause me to consider specific events, happenings and random things in my life.  When I focus only on you, so much comes to mind for which to express gratitude.

From the natural world of oxygen to breathe and sunshine to poke through my bedroom window, to birds singing and butterflies fluttering, to beloved family members and friendships, to gifts of clean water, medicine and food, to healings, miracles and unexpected gifts and to transformation, unconditional love and grace beyond calculation, I acknowledge you.  But most of all I think on faith and the many doors it opens and how you walk through every time.

Today is a day of thanksgiving and praise!
